 | Make yourself at home!! | Jun 20, 2005 |
Hey Frenz!! Welcome to my site! Feel free to browse through. Make yourself at home k and enjoy yourself! Basically, i will upload any updates about my life and activities to keep all of you informed! ^-^v
| | A few raw photos which I like as well. |
| | It takes place from 9am to 1pm! |
| | Indoor: Rico-A-Mona studio Outdoor: Shophouses around Rico, Botanic Garden, Sentosa Tanjong Beach, Flyer and Marina Bay Sands
PG: Henry from Rico MUA: Milly from Rico |
At last! After 3 weeks of waiting, we finally get to see our photos for the first time! We brought along our parents and family to have a first glance. When we met up with Jessie, she helped us prepare the machine for us to view the photos.
All the photos were raw photos and we were really awestruck by what we saw. Jessie opened a few of them for us to preview and we were really amazed by how well they were taken! ^-^v To top it all, we have 376 photos to select from!
It's a headache! Much more work than photoshooting =P Since most of the pictures are so well taken, we have difficulty selecting them. We spent more than four hours picking, and have 5 rounds of browsing through the entire collection of the photos and filtering them. Our paper is so messed up that Milly has to give us a new piece of paper. She's also helpful and try to make us feel comfortable while we are selecting by giving us water and giving us tips. Jessie also gives us guidelines on how to select photos by showing us a few albums samples. Best of all, we are not pushed or rushed to make decisions. We are totally free to choose the number of photos and without pressure at all! =D
We end up selecting more than what we want. Seeing that, Jessie decided to give us a discount and return us all the raw photos! Yay! Plus upon request, I am able to choose an extra ROM gown free. Jessie said she very "teng" us (in English means adores us), which I feel is true. ^-^v She makes me a happy bride and Dom a happy groom!
After selecting the photos, we select the type of albums, portrait or landscape, hotpress or non-hotpress, and also the layout designs. All costs are already included hence there is no extra cost except for the extra photos that we have selected. =) | | What a day of fun, love, laughter and nervousness! Before the day began, I was already chittering with nervousness and excitement, hoping that the weather turns out well and the day will go smoothly.
I met Baobei at Tanjong Pagar MRT and the first thing I told him was that I woke up early because I was too nervous! :P
And the day began with the make-up artist, Milly, coming in at around 9am and with great speed, started to help me with my make-up and hairdo. She's a very nice lady and chats with me about my day and makes sure that I am confortable. She also helped me with my gown.
After spending almost 2 hours with my make-up and hairdo, I am finally done! Although I feel that the veil is too high, I still go ahead with it as I wanted to see how I turn out in the pics, as she wanted to create a princessy feel for me. While waiting for Baobei's turn to make-up and hairdo, which takes about 15 minutes to half an hour only (:P), our photographer Henry, walked in.
Wow, he made us comfortable at the very first moment we met him! He asked us what we would prefer for our shoot and where we would like to go. Initially, he suggested to go to some colonial buildings as it will contrast with the night shots at Marina Bay Sands, which had modern buildings. And it's closer to get around to other places for photoshoot. But I prefer Botanical Gardens and told him that. Walla! He happily agreed and told us that he would arrange time so that we have enough time to travel where we wanted to go.
We told him that he can pick any nice sunset view and he suggested Sentosa. We agreed right away as we trust him by that time.
Henry was a funny guy. He made us laugh all the way and cracked jokes with us. He kept calling Baobei "Bei Yong Jun". =D Although we mentioned to him that we have 3 indoor shoots, he took us to walk around the Tanjong Pagar shophouses for our 3rd shoot.
And even more surprising that day, Jessie, my coordinator came up to the studio to make sure I am ok. I am so touched! She's surprised to see me as she told me that I looked so different! =) And even more surprising to me was that Milly asked Jessie if I could exchange one of my indoor gowns to outdoor gowns and Jessie agreed! Of course I have to take care of the gown as it's new and initially, not supposed to bring it out for outdoor photoshoot. I am so touched by them and feel that their services are really good!
The day went by without any hitches and before we knew it, we were out for our 1st outdoor shoot at the Botanical Gardens. It's quite hot and Baobei was dripping with sweat. Good thing that he came prepared with extra minty wet tissue and cooling spray. At the Botanical Gardens, it's amusing and embarrassing as I felt like the centre of attraction as there were many tourists around that day. Some congratulated us, some complimented us that we were very handsome and pretty. Some even took photos of us. A group of Korean tourists even asked Dom to kiss me on the spot for them to see! ^-^ One Caucasian even mentioned that he wanted to whistle but he couldn't hehee.
After going to the Botanical Gardens, we went to Sentosa for our sunset shots and then went to Marina Bay Sands. Henry took us to the flyer first before we walked over to the Helix Bridge. He's really dedicated as he would sit, crouch, climb and do all sorts of poses in order to capture the best moments for us. We are really grateful to him for making our day. ^-^v
And to wrap up our day, we took 2 casual pictures with Henry, one normal, one cheeky pose for all of us to remember. Hopefully we are able to get the pictures from him! ^-^v
Oh and there is one last thing! They prepared fresh flowers for us, when I thought I need to prepare it myself. It's another bonus! ^-^ |
